Do this by selecting the + at the top of the main menu and selecting New Game. The best thing to do when starting your Legacy Challenge is to begin a new game.
In this challenge you play a single family for 10 full generations. Your founder must build their house, build their wealth, and ultimately bring in the second generation to continue when they die. The Legacy Challenge tasks you with creating a single founder Sim moving them in to a giant lot, and starting out in abject poverty. By abiding by the restrictions of the challenge and reaching for the goals of the challenge, you will find yourself getting a very different experience from The Sims 4 that you might have playing casually.
The Legacy Challenge is a set of self-imposed rules meant to change the way you play the game of The Sims 4.
They are needed desperately and I do believe I would not be the only one who would do anything to receive them.The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Rules (updated November 9, 2022) Personally, I swear I would spend hours in front of my tablet trying to unlock long male/short female hairstyles for my Sims if that possibility was given, and even if they were "only" available in the store as an in-app-purchase I would not hesitate to purchase them. You might also want to give some thought to short hairstyles for females while we are at the subject. Plus, I use the creation of Sims with various fashion senses as an opportunity to explore and express myself and not being able to give my male Sims long hair limits said possibility. While miscellaneous fashion events for unlocking several (very beautiful) long hairstyles for female Sims keep reoccurring, I have not once had any sort of possibility to unlock (or even purchase) long hairstyles for male Sims, which I find to be unfair, sexist, and generally unfortunate, as men with long hair are in most cases tremendously attractive, and I feel guilty for not being able to introduce my Sims to something so sexy.
I would like to request something that has been bothering me since I first started playing The Sims™ FreePlay about two and a half years ago.
